then whack KC lor, or maybe banks/telco to diversify?

Ya thinking of KC

If SMM is privatised by SCI or bought by KC which will be the better outcome? My guess SMM is better off with KC to make a single stronger entity

I think banks and telcos have room to go down and will wait

I personally think KC will not buy out SMM, KC only bought out Kepland last year... gearing very high liao... KC is even considering selling non core like M1 to raise cash

SMM is more likely to be bought out by SCI, or SMM may issue rights to strength its balance sheet

my view is that temasek is not pumping in $$$, they just want KC and SCI to try handle this crisis themselves first

KC can sell M1

SCI can sell its utilities assets

Hopefully SCI do not sell their utilities assets as it is their cash cow..

Singtel up 4% top volume
I felt that their results so so nia
How come so strong today ah

Their result is actually fairly good......

In constant currency terms, net profit grew 1%, and would have increased 6% if adjusted for the tax credit and Trustwave. Trustwave is a new overseas acquisition which provided a full quarter revenue of S$75 million. This helps to diversify SingTel's income stream.

The Consumer business in both Singapore and Australia delivered strong EBITDA growth.

Optus Business saw significant contract wins and re-signs from the Australian government.

Group Digital Life recorded strong revenue growth driven mainly by Amobee’s social, video and mobile advertising business which acquired marquee clients like Microsoft, Lexus and Fiat.

Just a technical rebound IMO. US markets have high correlation with oil prices, and oil rebounded on a OPEC cut rumor, which come out once a week nowadays with no action taken.

Japan GDP data and China Import Export data released this morning were horrid, yet Dow futures and Asia markets still rally like crazy.

Bad news is good news still? Up to you to decide.
