I don't think the phone can get any cheaper.

Samsung's new generation phone is always more expensive than the predecessor generation due to several upgrades in hardware and added/improved functionality.

For reference's sake, the official retail prices of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge is S$998 and S$1,168 respectively.

S7 will have 3,000mAh battery and 3,600mAh for the Galaxy S7 edge

New TouchWiz skin based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a pressure-sensitive display and IP67 water/dust resistance.

QHD is really overkill on such a small screen...
FHD is more than enough n won't use as much battery.
