I spray dettol on myself n on the bed... till now no bedbugs

Kick your parents out and let them seek help from doctor. The hoarding is a sickness.Effective boh? I read after fumigation, the bugs will still come back. My parents also like to hoard things....think this is going to be worst than Armageddon.

Bed bugs are an absolute b*tch to deal with. I suffered for 1 full year.
The best way is to throw away the furniture, get pest control in ($500), then change brand new METAL furniture. Yes, even the nightstand and bedside cabinet.
Now almost every piece of furniture in my room is metal. Not the prettiest, but at least I can sleep well.
If u all said our blood is the food.. Then consider go vacation for 2 weeks.. Wo food for 2 weeks think the bb die already?
2 weeks not enough, i think 12 weeks to be safe

Well the pest control company that I engaged did assure me that the BB will be eradicated. In fact, they even give a guaranteed period as well after a sniffer dog gives your place an all green. I didn't have to throw away a single piece of furniture as well.Absolutely agree. Thats another terrifying aspect of bb. Their tenacity. They can survive for months w/o feeding. But they are no machines and must die if starved long enough, just like your enemy who must die if you cut off their food supply. The key is how. Their main source of food is your blood which they suck when you sleep on your bed. Thats y they are called bed bugs. They appear elsewhere bcos there are too many and want to spread. But if you can deny them their food, then they must ultimately die. And if you deny them a safe place to hide, then they become easy targets. This is likened to a war of attrition, in which you wear out your enemy but leave your properties relatively intact. Or you can fight an explosive chemical war by calling in the big guns (bug buster) which might entail turning your place upside down, tearing up or discarding your furniture etc. It might destroy them or it might not, giving you only a temporary reprieve. As Gix once said, no pest co. can assure you that.
