SAF hotline was first created to facilitate the public and the family of the serviceman to get in contact with SAF easily. Both NSF and NSman can report or request for any actions through the hotline.
SAF hotline, in the first place, is not an avenue for serviceman to complain their superiors. By law, all complaints are to be brought up in the unit following chain of command. If all fails, serviceman can report the matter directly to Military Court, at choa chu kang way.
However, with the increasing number of people abusing the hotline, asking for stupid things and request for unreasonable services, they came out with the case system.
All requests, complaints against superiors or services from SAF, are to be recorded systematically and with personal particulars. The agent who picked up the call will forward the case to relevant departments for follow-up actions.
Therefore, SAF hotline is a call centre for your convenience.
