Am thinking of buying new laptop! anyone know if the upcoming IT fair will still be happening? or cancelled due to covid and where will be a good platform to buy if there is no it fair?

I will choose dell and Lenovo bc they have better warranty. Asus comes w one year. The problem is that laptop usually starts to break down after one year.

I am always a dell user. Two years ago, I've bought a x1 carbon for my wife. I'm very impress by the design, light and solid.

Warranty length and T&C usually depends on price of laptops.

Dell starts at 1year carry-in. When the price reach 1.3k ish, maybe you get 2 years.

Asus anything below 1.2k is almost always 1year. 2 years for more expensive models.

Lenovo warranty is very easy to find 2year ON-SITE. This is very important as it means they will send a technician to ur home.

Lenovo is China... Lenovo acquired IBM's personal computer business about 15 yrs ago.

I owned Taiwan Asus, Japan Sony, USA HP laptop and all served me well beyond 3 yrs. I am currently looking for a new laptop, maybe next will be China Lenovo.

Dell also has on site warranty...

Asus I won't recommend cos their laptops most don't support usb-c charging or displayport output... Inconvenient.

Hp i think not bad for their newer models with precision touchpad drivers.

Acer nowadays offer pretty good specs for the price.
