Any suggestion on mobo and cpu? Abit rush cause no time to do research liao, been out of DIY PC for many years.
If you don't want to spend too much now, $300+ can get cpu+mobo+ram

5800x
https://www.amazon.sg/AMD-Ryzen-5800X-16-Thread-Processor/dp/B0815XFSGK/

B550M
https://www.amazon.sg/GIGABYTE-B550M-AORUS-AX-Motherboard/dp/B0BZQ1TNW8/

B550M + WIFI
https://www.amazon.sg/GIGABYTE-B550M-DS3H-Micro-Motherboard/dp/B08R5736B3/

32gb DDR 4 ram
https://www.amazon.sg/CORSAIR-CMK32GX4M2E3200C16-Vengeance-PC4-25600-Computer/dp/B07RW6Z692/

However, I've noticed you've ordered DDR5 ram, but AM4 is using DDR4 ram, so you may be looking for an AM5 build which costs more.

if just gaming, just get a 7800x3d, zen 5 likely wont be faster and zen 5 x3d will probably take a while to launch. mobo wise, can get a decent b650 like as suggested here:
for brand new builds, unless u are going ultra budget, dont bother with am4.
Some AMD mobo will allow XMP profiles. Not all allow.
really? ive heard am5 plays very well with xmp nowadays.

My Rig is 12 years old liao.

Lol! So it going to be a total new build.

Do you think it worth to wait for Zen 5?
go for it. the aorus b650m motherboard posted earlier on will be good enough! whether you want 7600x or wait till end of July for 9600x depends on your wants.

no need to consider AM4 since it is end of line already.

Thanks ragnarok95, Long time no see bro. Glad to see you around.
I cancel my order, probably need to do somemore research.

get teamgroup experts ddr5 6000-6400. These using hynix A-die, is much easier for ram tuning

Crucial/micron ram are worst in ddr5 era. Tiagong the earlier corsair one also using micron nand

Hynix M-Die is much easier for ram tuning due to much more relaxed trfc. Training is also much faster and can o/c higher with less voltage. I'm currently doing 8600C38 at 1.55V and it's been really fast and stable so far. My previous A-die would need easily 1.65v to run the same. That too if the rams even allow it. M-Die is usually 2x24gb instead of 2x16gb.

But I believe for AMD platforms most are still tuned and optimized for A-die.
