honestly if US just conquer the area also no point....the costs to hold it will be astronomical if IRGC can just fly drones at it everyday.

Taking the area will help to take the island too. Drones only useful in open area, but I do agree holding the area will be quite painful, where Iran will launch max attack. As I said the area is a 2 edge sword, Iran will have a hard time reclaiming back the area.
