- Top officials scoring KPI and claiming credits for GREEN movement.
- Less cans and plastic bottles lying around sg inc.
- The elders are getting exercise from collecting all the tins and bottles and making money out from it.
The target return rate is 60% for 2026, and then 80% by 2029. Let's see if they announce 2026 results year end. The EU countries have a highly successful median return rate of more than 90%.

Thanks for the information.
The target is HIGH.
As for 2029, I am not sure that the company running the whole operations is still around.
High chance it will close shop by end of 2027.
Are they really making money or loss instead ?

In a Facebook post on Nov 1, the Marine Parade-Braddell Heights Town Council said it has seen the concerns raised over the video, and thanked members of the public who have taken time to share their thoughts with them.

“We are also especially thankful for those who expressed kind words recognising the work of our workers,” the town council said.

In its statement, the town council said that the workers were depositing containers from their own purchases, with some also given to them directly by residents. It added that the workers were also doing so after their working hours.

It said that its workers are not permitted to rummage through refuse or recycling bins to retrieve such items, and that it emphasised this requirement to all conservancy workers since the BRCS scheme began.

Following the incident, the town council said that it has reminded the workers to follow its operational guidelines, and advised them not to wear their work uniforms when carrying out personal BCRS activities outside working hours.

The town council said that this is to avoid any misunderstanding that the workers are doing so in their capacity as its appointed workers.

“Our conservancy workers play an important role in keeping our neighbourhoods clean. They are also members of our community, and we hope residents can understand that they may participate in the recycling scheme in their own time, just like everyone else. At the same time, it is important that proper work practices are observed,” the town council said.

The town council said that it takes feedback seriously and will continue to work with its cleaning contractor to reinforce expectations.

“Thank you for your understanding and for working with us to keep our neighbourhood clean, safe and pleasant for everyone,” it added.

That day I also saw my area town council cleaners doing the return with two big black trash bags at 9am.

Obviously is consolidated from all the bins that they are in charge of and it's 9am, definitely not off work hours.

This give rise to something very obvious. It is not hard to bcrs at the foreign worker level. No need to bcrs at national level.

The foreign worker can take on extra tasks at the bin collection center to segregate the bottles since they have proven it is possible. It is way more efficient financially and practically.

Take away the 10cents and pay for the bangalas to do it.

Nah
Cos Grace is stupid
She wants to target consumers
Once they are targeted , they came up with this scheme of taking 10 cents from them & they must act to get back their money

It will be successful
And if successful its cos of all the dumpster diving including by cleaners

Whatever figures given beforehand to company probably grossly under estimate things

& they based on figures to finance the company

So if its 20% cans straight up not converted to cash, its used to finance company
What if the figure is now less than 10%
