The story was so long that I am really incapable of telling how frustrating it is to deal with them. Firstly, For unknown reason they split my package into 2. Then they told me my package was too large to be shipped. I thought they were referring to the whole package so I immediately routed it to com gateway (I paid the GST on the original package worths USD3500) and got it within a few days. When I finally received it, I then realised that the main thing (expensive part) is missing and so I checked with vpost again. And I found the item was still with them and it was unaccounted for and sitting in the warehouse. I then tried to get them to ship it to me and from thereon the nightmare began. It has now been more than a month and the item was still with them. It was such a painful experience to deal with this kind of people. All the emails to and fro, all the documents and forms to and fro, all the questions and answers to and fro. I did not even blame them for a single thing and just nicely asked what they needed me to do so that I can get back my thing (not to mentioned I have to pay for the GST again on that value). Wish me luck that I could finally get my thing in one piece and I really hope that I could get a refund from IRAS on the wrongly paid GST. What a horrific experience it is to deal with these type of people. They are like treated work as if they are having fun in a playground. I regretted not immediately routing it to COMGATEWAY - I would have been able to save a lot of trouble. I don't think it's a wise decision to use vpost service for important shipment.

^ use Comgateway for expensive items.Ezbuy for the rubbish - although they have been quite reliable for me for years now . Vpost only for cheap items in places where the others dont have a presence.

Didn't use vpost for a long time, so thought I'd give them a chance thinking they might have improved. BIG MISTAKE. They messed up my returns so badly and it's been dragging on and on for such a long time now. Their UI also makes no sense. I was honestly surprised to see there are vpost staff in Singapore, including 'customer experience' staff. How do we contact these people? What do they do? Because all us common folk are allowed to contact are the overseas staff via chat, etc. Then it's like a whole broken telephone chain from customer to Person Z and Person Z is either incapable or simply doesn't care. Each question and answer takes DAYS. Why can't we just talk to Person Z straightaway? Why make the whole process so complicated?

The first 2 times I used Vpost USA was in 2013 and 2014. It was such a pain to use Vpost, poorly trained staff, tell you all sorts of nonsense, missing items or damage in items upon arrival etc. But I have forgottened about it and recently decided to give it another go with Vpost Japan, thinking that 9 years would probably given them more room to improve.

But sadly now we are having so many more efficient freighters from Amazon US or Taobao or anywhere else, Vpost is still very (sh)itty. In fact the worst of them all.

From the delayed in shipment, to no updates on the items location, from the date I paid the payment. ETA was supposed to be 10-16 Oct. But up to today, 16 October, the item is still unknown location.

I have spoken to at least 5 vpost staff on The 1605 hotline. All staff will courteously apologisesl and promise to follow up, but all just empty promises and no follow up on item status, can't wait to get you off the line, and disappear and not return the follow up call.

I Have to resort to reaching their CEO and sending a message for a proper explanation on the situation.

Seriously, in this world of commerce today, if the delivery service sucks, there are lots of alternative, what's more is Singpost is facing local business headwinds, losing money locally and looking to increase postage fees from 20 cents to 51 cents for local postage.

There isn't any interest to improve the business process flow or system, just plainly raise cost to ensure the company viability and offering lousy service at the expense of the locals. This mailing industry should be considered to be privatised.

Long story short, choose Singpost or Vpost at your own peril. High blood pressure and frustration bound to happen with their poor service, this is the only thing that has been consistent whole out the my time as a customer. There won't be this thread appearing more than 10 years and still alive if Its not true
