is it very stressful to work in a hedge fund? Anyone got work experience there? I never found investing stressful as a retail investor. Maybe the boss drove him too hard.

For those who are in similar predicaments, just remember, nothing is more precious than the life of a human being. Take one step back, look at the big picture. Take a walk in nature, breathe in the fresh air, look at things in perspective, all problems can be solved with some help from others. How much did he lose, he didn't even make the front page of any newspaper. Nick Leeson caused the collapse of Barings, the oldest investment bank in Britain, can you beat that? Leeson didn't take his own life, in fact, he is now working as a consultant after serving his sentence.

IMHO, if one is stressed/depressed over extended period of time, its best to seek treatment or rehabilitation. Very often, these are not addressed in time because most people feel these are normal and the person will be ok after a rest or break.

When a person is experiencing depression, he does not have a clear state of mind on what he is doing. For severe cases, it scenario can be best described as similar to someone who is being possessed.

This is something that normal healthy people like ourselves will not understand.
I know this because that I have a relative who is suffering from severe depression.

Depression is an issue that common people like me can't understand. Best to seek treatment from professionals early. Though how to detect and if one is willing to see doctor is another issue.

Anyway, yesterday the movement was quite big for some bigs, a lot of short covering because rate hike probability suddenly shot above 80 % from what I read online.
I think this time round, the price movement will be more violent and more beneficial for banks.

Depression is the mind(yourself ****ing with u), thinking I wana get out but can't for some reason. Yet closed n reject other ppl.


Unless someone hit the archellies hill which make him talk or cry about it. It's hard. Any other talk will just bull shiat to him.

That's why for those investors feeling pressure that results from trading, highly suggest you guys to take a break; trading stand down for a week or two by not looking at your market, instead go and go hour housework.

can not be, can not be, unless what we see in SGXcafe portfolios are fake.

just look at SGXcafe, so many SSI warriors posted their +xxx% everyday, how can a hedge fund executive lost money ?

And mind you, most SSI warriors with million, 3/4 or 1/2 million $$ portfolio are tertiary students, young working adult or even secondary skool kids.
