Global Investment Limited - Silently Rising?

Been watching over this stock for the past few weeks now, and there is no sign of it slowing down.

It has risen quite fast recently, however, there is virtually no news about it, except its financial report released in November, which was quite positive.

It is currently trading way below NAV (28.58%) and has a high dividend yield (9.32% ttm).

Any opinions on this stock?

After some research, found that the NAV is actually closer to 70% lol.

Dividend yield doesn't seem sustainable in the long run because it seems that they are paying a significant portion of their yield from their capital gains. But the current management team seems to take a more defensive approach to investing, which is a good sign.

Today price shoot up again from 0.159-0.164.. (~3%) Price increase for this month is about 10%.

Not vested.

Edit: Just noticed the volume traded at 0.164 was a measly 31,000.

Vested, and considering whether to get the scrip dividend or cash equivalent...

May I know at what price are you vested at?
Tempted to buy some to add to my dividend stocks. But scared it may not be sustainable.
Any thoughts?

Ya I did. It looks consistent for past few years, and still maintains after rights issue.
Thing is whether its going to be the same in the long run.

Thanks for the suggestion.

But it looks like it went up quite high recently. And dividend is abt 4%. Still might consider though.

Did the dividends drop drastically in 2009 and 2010?

They have 2 aircrafts.
Their website says the lease maturity dates of these 2 aircrafts is on 30 April 2013 and then they will sell the aircrafts to Fedex.

Lessee is Thomson Airways Limited.

After that what will happen?

drop due to the dividend payout.
from 0.159-0.16 minus dividend 1.5cents.
current 0.143-0.144 range
