seems like this blue chip gets nobody's attention?

This stock as a pretty decent balance sheet.
Main revenue is property investment (70-odd%), with property developing covering the rest. Plenty of projects left in China for property developing.

A bet on this company will be a bet on the future of Hong Kong (for its prime property investments) and China (for its property developing).

From Book Value per share, it does appears to be cheap, about 50 cents to a dollar.

actually it's now 40cents to the dollar Price to Book value per share. crazy cheap and undervalued. Alot of it is from the HK protest noise I believe. Do your own homework and good luck!

Not to induce any fears here. But with protests getting more and more violent. Investors may not look at Hong Kong as before; could be a extreme statement but a lot of wealth are being moved out of Hongkong already.

So, invest in caution! Political factor can be your worst enemy..

The central govt of China have made a blunder and assume the protest in HK will wear out by itself ...but 3 months down the road ,things have even got more out of hand.. If this is another Chinese city, CCP would have no hesitation to send in the tanks. However, HK as the conduit to outside world for the Communist and highest concentration of cellphone, any ammunition flying around would mean the death knell of a freewheeling bastion.

hi guys.. question.

So far i have used dbs vickers to purchase STI which is transacted via SGD currency.

In the case for stock that is listed in SGX and transacted in USD like Hongkong holding there is an option to choose to buy via SGD or USD.

Which one should i choose ? SGD or USD ?

Or i can only choose USD cos it is traded in USD?

Denominated in USD, how is it possible to buy in SGD...
