Helping my friend get a PC full set including Monitor n Keyboard. And we confirm gonna buy it tomorrow @ SimLim.

-This thread- helped alot but unfortunately we are limiting our purchases @ SimLim because friend want to settle it tmr, so I don't think we are going to buy from online for some extra savings :s22: (Lazada, Qoo10). Actually can buy online... as long as can store pick up on that day itself.

Games are... CS:GO, L4D2, GTA 5 (30fps can liao), Assasing Creed.

Can u guys help take a look?
(Prices are from Cybermind pricelist, unless otherwise stated)

$1000
CPU+MOBO: Pentium G4560 + ASUS H110M-A = $195 (Hopefully got stock...)
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1050Ti OC 4GB = $249
HDD: WD 1TB Blue = $72
RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) = $148 <--- This one from carousell (Dunno got stock anot)

CASE: Corsair Carbide 100R = $85

Monitor: 20inch+ = Max $200 (Not sure exactly which one, gonna window shop, Just need basic 60hz)
KB+Mouse: Logitech MK120 = $25

Total: $1,064

$1200
CPU+MOBO: i5 7500 + ASUS H110M-A = $413
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1050Ti OC 4GB = $249
HDD: WD 1TB Blue = $72
RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) = $148 <--- This one from carousell (Dunno got stock anot)

Monitor: 20inch+ = Max $200 (Not sure exactly which one, gonna window shop, Just need basic 60hz)

Your friend's choice is better to go i5. Last longer down the road.

Down to 8gb ram and use first. All the games you listed can run with 8gb just fine. Upgrade down the road.

Get 240gb ssd and get a hdd later down the road. The speed is pleasing to you. Trust me. Budget ones like PNY CS1311 or OCZ Trion 150 is only $109 at pc theme.

Get Tecware Edge (matx) or Xigmatek Frontliner (atx) for $69 at pc theme too.

Palit Dual GTX 1050 TI OC 4GB is $219 at lazada (before discount). GPU is just plug to the mobo, connect power cable, install the drivers and its ready to use. So why not get online and save the 30 bucks?

Actually, get it from Qoo10. Can self collect today if I'm not wrong.

Zotac GTX 1050 TI OC Dual Fan - $220 after $10 shop coupon and $20 cart coupon. Self collection.

Wa thanks man. I was also wondering if can use Qoo10 coz most of the time they have self collection and I wanna use up my $10 coupon.

About the 8GB, true. He not using softwares like Adobe Photoshop much and the work not that heavy anyways.

And i5 down the road quite true too. Was having that in mind. I was afraid the G4560 might bottle neck future upgrades. Confirm after getting this system, he'll feel the power of PC and want to upgrade more haha #pcmasterrace

Thanks for the case suggestion. Maybe not Xigmatek Frontliner coz he might not like the front panel mesh (bad past experience for him haha). Tecware Edge is much better. Looks cleaner. I'll show him that later and let him see which one he prefers.

As for SSD, I suggested to him too in the beginning coz I using it for myself and really love it, but thought couldve used that money for something else. We'll see.

On topic regarding same day collection:

Video Pro's collection staff will likely ask you when did you make the purchase as the first question, they may not entertain same day collection.

Optional suggestions
Just did a quick check for the following. Qoo10 examples.

Cart 1
  • ZOTAC 1060 MINI 3GB (Item Code: 480744663) - $ 302

Discounts: -$50 cart, -$6 (3% off $100 gift card)

Cart 2
  • i5-6400 (Item code : 440036926) - $295
  • WD Blue 1TB 3.5" Blue (Item code : 416565845) - $75

Discounts: -$50 cart, -$6 (3% off $100 gift card)

Cart 3
  • ASUS Prime B250M-K (Item Code: 512223443) - $179
  • Samsung DDR4-2133 16GB (Item Code: 502390873) - $169

Discounts: -$50 cart, -$6 (3% off $100 gift card)

1. Count the totals, 3 Q10 accounts required to clip 3 coupons.
2. eNETS payment for instant approval of gift cards.
3. For gift cards, there are purchase limits. Ask experts around for advice.
4. Don't use the same bank account / card to pay. Will likely get flagged by Q10 for coupon abuse.
5. Can cut down specs, but best to keep them in close to blocks of $300 or $100 for coupon use.

Buy today or not, your friend decides. His wallet after all but the savings may be fairly substantial. You can show him some examples/ possibilities to help him make a better informed decision.

Thanks for the heads up!. I'll see if my friend willing to take the "risk" of not collecting today anot. Really good deals when done this way.
