SINGAPORE - A 70-year-old man was taken to hospital unconscious after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Bartley Road East.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident at the junction of Bartley Road East and Airport Road on March 15 at about 4.40pm.

In response to media queries, the police said the accident involved a car driven by a 30-year-old woman, who was arrested for careless driving without due care and attention, causing hurt.

SCDF said the motorcyclist was taken to Changi General Hospital.

Images posted on Facebook show a white car at a road junction with a fallen motorcycle in front of it. Several people, including SCDF paramedics, are seen tending to a man lying on the road.

Police investigations are ongoing.

KNN so far away cannot see the rider? Must be using hp while driving ah

Think from the cam vehicle being stationary can sort assumed that the turning is not green light yet bah perhaps. That's why the biker slowly eased into the lane, probably intending to stop at the front also. The car doesn't look like intending to stop from the way its going. Can't help wonder want to chiong red light is it.
