Which one is of better value? 1660 super or RTX2060?

Also, is 1660 super twin fan better or 1660 amp?

also does the different brand even mean anything? galax, zotac, etc.

If you ok with used unit then it will be more worthwhile with either, used price is falling due to many upgrading. Buy those which are few months old.

For $100 more, might as well get 2060 for more cores, better performance and entry-level ray tracing.

1660 Ti offers better performance than 1660 Super.

AFAIK, 2060 > 1660 Ti > 1660 Super > 1660 > 1650 Super > 1650.

I felt the same which was why i bought 2060.

yunie, unless you're playing the latest games and require ray tracing,
there is not need for 2060.Just get 1660. Before you buy a 2060,
take a look inside your casing to make sure there is enough space. :)

Between the two, I chose 1660 super oc with 6gb. I don't play games alot... And i think i can live/play without ray tracing.

I think it depends on the price. The cheapest I got a GTX 1660 Super was 267. If the RTX 2060 is more than 400 bucks, then I feel it may not be worth it. The only upside I can think of for the RTX 2060 will be DLSS. If you are looking at ray tracing, then you can pretty much forget it. No point running RT at low quality or low resolution. The RTX 2060 is simply not a ray tracing worthy card.

3440 x 1440. using 34inch wide monitor. I don't game at the resolution though.

The GTX 1660 Super is actually capable of gaming at this resolution. I had one previously and was surprised that it ran Shadow of the Tomb Raider smoothly at very high settings. I can’t recall the average frame rate now, but am certain it’s around 70 FPS. So it depends on what game you play.

RTX 3050TI, in Jan.

Less than 1.5 months away. You want to wait?

wouldn't 3050TI or 3060 not be value for money? or is there such a giant leap in performance that makes it also very value for money

of cos now with 3060 estimated about 500 or so which is slightly more than current 2060 price and deem possible as powerful as 2070 or more, it is definitely can consider value for money but how much value for money will depend on how much you benefit from the extra performance.
