dunno how this can happen. common sense is you must close your fuel cap before driving off.

"I encountered something you usually only see on the news while just pumping petrol. I can't believe it happened to me! 😂

Shell Petrol Station, Skudai Hwy, 81300 Johor Bahru, Johor. Tonight, October 18th, 10:17 PM. The car, SKR8xxxU, was a Singapore-registered vehicle.

(First, a quick note: I zoomed in for the photo. I don't drive yet. My parents had already paid for the fuel, so they stopped to ask the staff if they would be refunded, which is how I was able to record the video. I know mobile phones shouldn't be used at a petrol station; the incident was so sudden that I instinctively pulled out my phone. My apologies. ☠️)

My parents were in the middle of pumping petrol. Suddenly, we heard a very loud 'boom' sound. 💥 Then, we saw a car with the fuel nozzle still stuck in its tank opening. The Singapore car drove off without replacing the nozzle, pulling it out in the process. Upon seeing the pump fall, the driver quickly got out of the car. He rushed to pull out the nozzle, seemingly intending to put it down and drive away immediately. Fortunately, a Malay female staff member waved for him to stop. Otherwise, he probably would have just fled the scene. 😂 (Although all petrol stations have CCTV, so it would surely have been recorded anyway.) The entire petrol pump was completely torn apart and fell down. It was terrifying. We quickly drove away because we were afraid the station might suddenly explode. It was extremely dangerous. The entire station stopped service and shut down immediately. Unfortunately, I don't know what type of fuel he was pumping; my view was blocked, and I didn't dare get out of the car to see. Out of fear of an explosion, we quickly left. I don't know whether to consider myself lucky or unlucky to have personally witnessed something that only happens in the news."

Hard to understand the composition... Pumped petrol and asking if it will be refunded? A car pulled down the pump and he is interested to know what type of fuel? Who exactly pulled down the pump???
