Using Keeplink 8 x 2.5G, 1 x SFP+, metal, unmanaged. Got it for $68 after discount at Aliexpress. Doubled my speed from PC to NAS from 100 to 270 MB/s. Only bottleneck is the hdd which cause slowdown during file transfer.
any overheating issues with the model mentioned above?
When using the TP-Link version, it tends to get extremely hot even under moderate loads.

With the launch of SIMBA 2.5Gbps at S$20, 2.5G home networking may make more sense now.

Recommended router with Local warranty
1) Local version with Dual 2.5G Ports: Asus TUF-AX6000, GT-AX6000

2) For those who want local version (with official local warranty) of WiFi 7 router with 6GHz support, then the lowest cost one available now is probably TP-Link Archer BE550, at about S$499.

Xiaomi BE7000 and BE10000 can fully max out the plan speed.
Speedtest around 1850Mbps+- with wifi 6 s23u.
Desktop 2.5gbps port also having same speedtest result.

But with ISP native 2.5Gbps port ONT/ONR.
It should touch wired 2400Mbps speedtest result.

Why use 2.5Gbps when 10Gbps is already available?

because it is at least 3 times cheaper?
Price is one factor

For ISP offering 10Gbps with ONR one cannot use his own router except to convert to AP. So top of line router is useless to them. Also, are the ONRs supporting WiFi 7 now?

For MR offering ONT it's still in trial stage. Whether it can go for official launch is yet to be seen

For now if one can get SIMBA 2.5Gbps just stick to it first. Come June/July then make the 10Gbps decision

10gbps infra like switches and NIC are still significantly more ex than 2.5gbps (which is only abit more than 1gbps in cost)

Almost every new mobo now has 2.5gbps.

10gbps onboard on the other hand is still only found on top end mobos

Yes, 10gbps X540 or X550 PCIE can be had for cheap on alibaba but except for tech-heads, that is not a practical route for most people/laymen

Just get from Taobao. It will work well with any local ISPs including SIMBA (with the exception for old Singtel users with Singtel ONT).

There is no global version as of now.

Not so sure about Xiaomi BE7000. For Asus TX-6000, no issues to switch to English.

Maybe @kappak can help to check on his Xiaomi BE7000 to see if it is possible to switch to English menu or not.

Thanks. Kind of expected from Chinese version of Xiaomi routers.

Asus is different, basically their Chinese version routers have the same HW/FW as global version, the only difference is the country code.
