Recently just bought 4 nos 2.5G managed tp link switches from taobao.
1) 2 x TL-SE2106 (5 ports 2.5G + 10G SPF+)
2) 2 x TL-SE2109 (8 ports 2.5G + 10G SPF+)
3) 2 x TL-SM410U 2.5G transceivers

All in with air shipping (direct shipping from taobao) less than sgd400.

Pretty pricey premium for choosing TP-Link but you'll get a much better UI experience.

Buying overseas without warranty I prefer trusted brand lor. Anyway compare to buying similar items here, it would have cost me a bomb. Though little bit pricier over some the lesser known local brands, safer to buy at least knowing the brand quality. So far everything works out of the box and management interface very simple to use even though in chinese.

Not bad using air shipping.

A quick Taobao search shows the price will be RMB (280*2+490*2+75*2)*1.09 (9% GST) +sea shipping, from a shop named "tplink普联网络批发”, or about RMB1900, using slower sea shipping method through 3rd party forwarders.

That will usually take about two to three weeks time.

After running the FOC router to POE my APs 2.5G port, finally decided to just get a cheap Tplink managed switch during taobao CNY sale.

Quite an affordable consideration for someone looking for a managed switch which comes with 2.5G POE, 10G SPF+ uplink and does simple VLANs.

For this switch, is the management console in English or Chinese? Or can it be switched?

I myself got the Mercury SE106P POE 2.5Gbps POE switch

Port 1-4 is POE, Port 5 is non-POE. Also has a 10Gbps SFP+ port as well

In the picture, only Port 3 is connected to a POE AP, the other ports are connected to non-POE devices, hence why only Port 3 has its left green LED lit

Right LED is green for 2.5Gbps and amber for 1Gbps and below

Cheap switch review: English UI available for the smart switch 6-port version
5 port 2.5G SODOLA unmaged switch and 6-port SODOLA 2.5G/10G smart switch (VLAN capable)

Interestingly the web interface is exactly the same as my newly bought 2.5G switch with two SFP+ ports from Taobao, even though the brand is not the same. It supports Chinese/English UI. I do not have any 10G devices yet so I have not go the SFP+ module yet (either copper or fibre).

Model of my switch -- 感闻科技 GW-9000-6XHML-X2

Yes i was bored and bought another 2.5Gbps switch...AGAIN :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Bought this 8P 2.5Gbps unmanaged POE switch from Mercury because my 5P 2.5Gbps POE switch has all its ports fully-used and i am considering adding POE IP camera or cameras to my place at some point later

Butt itchy dah...

Not so sure about Xiaomi BE7000. For Asus TX-6000, no issues to switch to English.

Maybe @kappak can help to check on his Xiaomi BE7000 to see if it is possible to switch to English menu or not.
Bro, xmir patcher on github can patch in EN language pack.
Not quite switch to english menu but it should work on BE7000/6500 Pro.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet

2* PoE injector is around ~$50. a quality managed 8 port PoE switch will run you into the hundreds.

PoE switch will be more neat. See how much you want to spend.
