As title mentioned, my MBP is running extremely hot these days. I've even resorted to read my mail using Safari instead of Outlook and minimize Chrome usage. Also, remove unnecessary startup apps, not sure what else I can do.

Any advise on how to cool down the machine ?

there might be an issue with the SMC. Try resetting the SMC to regulate the fan controller...

If still cannot, probably your fan is not working well, or your outlet vent is plagued with dust etc..

Fan is working well, I've installed Mac Fan Control as well which I forcefully run it at max speed to blast out any dust. Though I noticed the speed is "0" at times... a little conservative.

Erm. I think u don't get it..

Dust don't come out when u turn up the fan speed, if not service centre won't need compressed air or suction liao..

Smc controls the fan speed according to the temperature. You won't know if it works until you reset Smc..
