When losing $, we can always say we are:

1) Long term investor
2) Contrarian
So that means when winning $, we can always say we are:

1) Short term investor or even trader
2) Follow the market trend bull and bear never go against

Some readers might be thinking…..damn i don’t even have 200k to lose :ROFLMAO:
Yes that is why we should always be nice to all readers in forum. Not everyone has the same amount of capital, do the same kind of high paying job etc to have excess to invest etc

I always remember some reader who hint if you don't have enough capital to buy SGX banking stock then best to work a few more years to save enough before invest. Well to me internally *** finger him/her lor. See ppl no up.

Is that the YTD loss figure with your overall portfolio still in green or is it that the portfolio is already in red ?

If its the latter then it's not a good thing.

I think homer is multi millionaire (but maybe not 5 million)? But down 200k may still hurt. Think most pple portfolio should be in the red or slightly green only in these times. Mine is red too ( but not 200k of course).

Is there any financial website that can do YTD? All portfolio website I know can only input cost price and holding to calculate simple gain/loss unless it is your brokerage account.

For me double whammy from S-Reit and HKSE... S-Reit easily 100k gone from a 500k investment which is 20% paper loss. I check SReit index and 2 major Reit ETFs in Spore also lost > 20% ytd.. and probably > 30% from 2 years chart... Just to console myself :cry:

The iEdge S-REIT Leaders Index has fallen 22% from its 52-week high hit on 3 Feb 2023.

I don’t know. I never enter my holdings into any financial website.
