Cny is big business than xmas

i find CNY a lot of waste generated. Due to spring cleaning, I see so many furniture being dumped at bin centre, lots of clothes at recycle bin; people buy more goodies than they can eat, after CNY a lot of goodies left over, then they bring to office pantry, nobody eat, after expiry, cleaners throw them away

Sg cny stuff ex..just buy minimal..so far only hoot rocher, few 100g dried food..pplwill overbought

Govt only need people to buy to earn GST, rental, GDP, consumption multiplier effect

they wont care if you throw away, leftovers, still good as new etc

Saw SS got offer, so I bought prawn rolls n pineapple tarts. Can't find any egg rolls worth to buy, maybe wait till closer to cny then see any lelong sale.

for some reason, many supermarket focus on abalone. The Sheng Siong nearest my place, has a display cabinet with their abalone gift boxes. some bundled with liquor, some without. mostly break $100+ price point.

precisely why moi hated CNY. Clothings and furniture that are in good condition just gets dumped for reasons of welcoming the new stuff in a new year...wtf
