based on what i read above, M5 Pro 48/64GB is more ideal!
more RAM the better, can never be underestimated...

If running AI, I’d suggest going for one that can run up to 25-30B parameter models with some room to spare for caching. 48 or 64GB is a nice sweet spot.

if you are running multiple models, a database or doing coding at the same time, 64GB would be a minimum.

Yes. I am leaning 48GB. I do run multiple instances of development tools. Less likely to run local LLMs

I went for m5 pro 64gb ram. Was seriously tempted by m5 max studio with 64gb ram. But the graphics processing power is too much of a headroom for me, so gave it up.

I rather spend lesser on upgrading ssd and plonk the cash into having more ram.
