Bought a 2nd-hand iphone 4S for $340 exactly a week ago, and this morning, the bottom part of the LCD screen, which I believed the sensors (whatever you call it) is not working. I.E. the bottom FOUR apps, Contacts, mail, music, and safari.

It was working perfectly and in good condition when I bought the phone and used for a week. Now whenever I had to text, I have to keep rotating the screen in order to access certain keys in the keyboard. The main problem is I could not access my contacts and call someone.

Went back to the dealer, and he said he has to call a technician to repair the phone for a few days, the cost will be split; 50:50. It was given 1 month warranty by the owner, but he just told me it does not includes LCD issue. He said that if I dont believe him, I can go to apple store and ask. Could someone verify this?

What should I do? Obediently pay 50:50 for repair? And what if the same problem comes back again? Or should I just change to a new phone, but my contract only expires on Sept. Advice pls!!!

Once you send it for repair more problems MIGHT pop up and he will ask you to pay more money... And you will be in a bad situation as your phone will be in his hands.

You have already fallen for his trap frankly speaking. Just bring it to somewhere for repair...and move on. Which store is it btw? :(
