970 Coil Whine

I understand coil whine is expected while playing game. But the whine on the zotac 970 continue even an hour after I stopped playing on idling mode. Unless i shut down and let it rest for a while before starting up, the whine will continue. Is this normal?

Stop whining, please. I am referring to your card. If the whine is too irritating when the card is at idle, you have valid reason to RMA the card.
