I'm eyeing the Note4 for my gf. she's a casual phone user (no heavy games, sometimes watch shows, whatsapp, surf net, etc).

Then i spotted the A7. Starhub is selling the Note 4 at around $150 more than the A7. Is it worth it to pay $150 more to get the Note 4 versus the A7?

From what I understand, Note 4 has removable batt, longer batt life, better screen and back camera, better cpu and ram.

The thing is, is it worth the $150 diff? I've seen the A7 and the feel is indeed premium. :)

if you can afford, just go for note 4. if you think every dollar matters, then A7 lor.

A7's price will continue to slide in the coming months, but well invest the money on something that is more premium and justified for in terms of price.

you mean it's worth to pay to get Note 4? A7 will lag, screen not as nice?

thank you for your comment.
The A7 has a 32 bit Exynos Octa Core processor. It has the same processor as the Galaxy Alpha. If you are thinking of getting the A7 then you should get the Alpha - which imo is the bad daddy of the A series with finger print sensor and heart rate reader. Also has aluminiun frame. Probably cheaper too.

The snapdragon 805 in the note 4 is a Quad core beast.. Even smoother than 801 in some games I have played.. Spen is a hit and miss to some but having transitioned from Note 2 to S4 ..i do miss the Spen.. This wacom spen function imo is more pressure sensitive and nicer to write on.

In comparison with the A7.. Despite being octa core.. The note 4 blows it away.. All the bells and whistles including a oxygen and uv sensor (wtf)

Downer.. It has more exposed chrome aluminium surfaces that scratches more easily

Do not find there is a need to do that. If you want custom rom, just get a cheap no brand phone with similar spec.

Good review. Another determine factor is if the user need dual SIM which is available on A7. Otherwise, note 4 anytime.

A7 has a lower PPI than Note 4 and A7 is overly priced...a mid range phone selling like flagship

I don't see A7 being positioned by Samsung as a flagship. Neither do I perceive this phone as a flagship. Samsung's flagship is clearly the S6 edge, undeniably.
