Now that I'm working, sis applied HSBC Revolution Supp Card for me and I also applied OCBC GE Cashflo Card purely for the annual premium splitting into interest free monthly payments.
I'm still a stranger to credit cards and would like to ask if there's any loopholes I should avoid when owning one?
Eg, by when should I pay my monthly bills to not incur any interest?
If I want to cancel my card because they won't waive the annual card fee, would it normally be alright to call and cancel when i receive the statement for the card fee? I don't think I can remember two years down the road to cancel the card before it reaches the third year where annual fees are chargable. Ie to say if I call to cancel after seeing the statement where I am charged for the annual card fee, am I liable to pay for it in order to cancel the card?
Any other tips for owning a credit card to avoid any extra charges?
Get credit card feel so much trouble for me, headache haha! Thanks guys!
