7 high key (7 days ++) ict most important.

depending on your unit, they may organized something for 1 day for you to go back to clock 1 low key.

ippt (include rt or ipt) , ops manning (+ 1 open mob) are just extra **** for your ns life. so if u do not want all these ****, just do not defer at all cost unless u are planning for migration.

My understanding is 1 RT consider 1/2 day of ICT but IPPT & IPT is not consider for ICT.

That why you have servicemen telling you that their S1 inform them that they have already serve certain amount of ICTs but they never even report to their Unit for ICT before.

Minimum criteria to MR.... Clock 7 HK and minimum 2 LK.

Other activities like your unit cohesion/active day can be counted as a participation or attendance during your ORNS for considerations.

Best if try not to get charge for RT/IPPT default and get fine.

Overall still depending on your unit.

In Theory, ORNS = 7 High Keys and 3 Low Keys over a consective period of 10 years if your units are those "active" unit where they call you back on yearly basis without fail.

In Practical, my unit is one of those "pretty inactive" type which initially call me back for ICT average every 18 months cycle and on the 6th HK ICT, they annouced due to having too many NS men so they restructured and lengthened the average call-back period to around 30 months. Hence overall, I completed my ORNS and MRed serving 7 HKs but only 1 LK though served a period of 12 years between 1998 November to 2010 November and MRed in March 2012.

The answer is yes if you have 14 RT (equal to 7 days of ICT) for that work year.

However your unit still can call you back for 33 days of ICT in that work year.

Answer 1
The staffs who will do your MR will be your unit. If you do not have an officially unit, how to MR you?

Answer 2
As we all know that SAF have double standard because we have cock up DXO, Officers, WoSpec, Senior ME & ME. I believe you have hear a lot of NSmen story like they MR without even clocking 7 HK ICT. Some say because they are key 'appointment holder' when they are just a small fry like SC, PS, PC or even real appointment holder like CSM, OC & etc which require them to serve more then 10 ICTs. There are more to say but in short, unless the NSman or someone complaint, Mindef will not do anything & let the unit to handle all this things.

NS Days
Each RT session will be computed as a ½ day service and will count towards the NSman's annual NS of 40 days. Attendance of ICT has priority over RT and only the balance of the call-up days will be used for RT call-ups.

okay , simply put if i had no ICT(that time i no unit due to original unit disband) but completed 20 RT sessions, in a workyear. Does it mean i have clocked a HK already?

I would say no but again TBV. Coz my ICT called up was then average 18 months per call-up and in between I had sandwiched RTs. If RTs are counted, I would have served 10+ HKs :s13:
