Please take the statistics with a heavy pinch of salt.

In the past, ACCA members can easily convert to CA member. Meaning ACCA = CA. The rules changed in 2013, transitional arrangements exist until 31 Dec 2018 for some qualifying ACCA members to convert still.

CA is a requisite to becoming PA, which lets you sign off on accounts. This is the only advantage.

That doesn't change the fact that ACCA is still a widely recognized international accounting qualification. ACCA has been around for decades, while CA (via SCAQ route) only started 5 years ago.

Hi Angel,

Wah, why they do that to ACCA. ACCA is indeed very well known. So, in sg, it is still better to have CA.

For those who have earned an Accountancy degree from a Singapore Autonomous U, even for SIT and SUSS graduates, does it make sense to go ACCA when there’s direct admission into CA SG professional?

Singapore CA Qualification (Direct Professional Programme) is much faster but also known to be more difficult.
