Acer FA100 SSD

Hi all,

wondering why i cant find any post of this SSD unless i am using the wrong keyword. Is it good?

Quite affordable considering $250 for 2TB on AMazon, with 5 years global warranty.

not doing anything intensive so this is quite a good SSD in terms of specs right?

Does it really impact real world performance if it's day to day web surfing and netflix.. at most some light games since its a laptop with GTX1050 card.

My current drive is OEM from Samsung.. think is this

slight upgrade but won't really notice the difference in casual everyday web surfing/gaming. Seems like a pretty good deal if you need a storage upgrade.

I won't buy it just to save a few dollars, my data more important.

Go for more established SSD brand please.

Do a clean install of Windows if you feel your current laptop is sluggish.
Samsung SSD will be better than the Acer SSD as well as more reliable.

too bad the FA100 is released quite recently so no real world data to show.

i am upgrading not for the speed actually.. just need more capacity as my current one is only 256GB and it's usually 80% full.

I believe if you have regular backup data practice, I see no concerns to give it a try.

looking at the data sheet screenshot below the 2TB come with 1200TBW was quite impressive not to mentioned given 5 years International Warranty was a good consideration than those 2 to 3 years counterpart :

Currently Samsung got promo for 970 plus 512GB NVME drive at $119.
1TB around $199, you can check if your nearby Challenger store have stock.
