Acessing my documets on another computer.

Ok here the basic story. My laptop adapter died. And i need to acess the data inside my laptop HDD In C:/windows user.... So i intend to plug my laptop hdd as an external drive l to my desktop running windows xp to access the data. Would this method be possbile? My laptop is running windows 7 and is password protected. But i know the user id and password

Depends if your laptop and harddisk supports TPM and if you did activate them earlier in your previous laptop. Did you use Microsoft Bitlocker ? If so, it will be encrypted already. Just password protection on Microsoft Windows do not encrypt the harddisk, as such should be mountable on another Windows system, so using it as external storage should be able to retrieve your data.

For your own sake, practice backup and redundancy in the future. Your another option is borrow an adapter ?
