Your cpu cooler blocking the 1st pci-e 1x slot? U can actually put in between the 2 gpu, provided they are 2-slot cards. Only palit and asus are 2.5 and 3 slots respectively. MSI, gigabyte, evga are all 2 slots.

Also, seems like btm can have clearance for ur soundcard n usb headers.

I feel you can sell your D14 and get AIO cooling. Its not fully watercooling, but all-in-one de. No need do maintainence.

D14 for AIO is a downgrade IMO...

Poorer performance, noiser, and risk leaking. For more money.

I did try to insert into all the 3 available PCI-E slots, the only viable one is the one in between the 2 GPUs, even that is too close for comfort which is what caused one of the GPUs to be short-circuited after the metal chassis if the soundcard came into contact with d multiple soldered points on the naked backplate of the GPU. The slot below the CPU cooler is partly obstructed by the twin fan's mounting clips, while the slot above the PSU would completely block the 2nd GPU's fan outlets. Not keen on WC as I prefer fuss-free air cooling and I'm not doing intensive OC either. Yes will avoid GPUs with thicker than 2 slot designs as mentioned. Looks like will end up using a PCI-E riser or external soundcard.

Thanks bro, too little too late :( The 2 GTX580s are a formidable pair, can still play F1 2013 at more than 100 fps and most of the yearly FPS franchise quite well. The only games which shows its age are Farcry 3 and Crysis3. I'm surprised it can play Metro LL fairly well most of the time. It'll be interesting to see what GTX 780s SLI bring to the table..
