Hi all,

I am planning to convert 1 Gang socket to 2 Gang socket for my laundry area by using the socket converter like this

Based on the specification stated on the website. the power usage for washing machine is 2000-2300 W and dryer is 780-800 W.
Any expert / electrician can tell me is it possible to use this kind of converter for washing machine + dryer.

Spec for washing machine : https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/...9/U-PJT_WASHER-AD_SimpleUX_DC68-04197S_SP.pdf
Spec for dryer : https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/...9/U-PJT_DRYER_SimpleUX_DC68-04268B-02__SP.pdf

What is the power supply to this 1 socket at MCB? 13 or 15 or 20 amp?

If 13 amp, I think if you want to expand 1 socket to 2 sockets for normal electrical appliances are ok but not for the use of WM and dryer.

2300W / 230V = 10A
800W / 230V = 3.5A

Usually the machines do not operate at max current all the time, at the same time. For me, the proposed design is ok. Others may think risky.
