Advice on gaming rig

Hi All,

Trying to build a mid range gaming pc. was thinking of the following:

1. Casing: Corsair Carbide Series® 200R Windowed Compact ATX Case

2. PSU: Seasonic M12II-750 EVO

3. Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws 16GB DDR4 2400MHz SODIMM

4. GPU: Gigabyte GeForce® GTX 1080 WINDFORCE OC 8G

5. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

6. MB: MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon/ ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac / MSI X370 KRAIT GAMING.

Still indecisive on which MB to get, would appreciate any advice, as well as any suggestions in regards to the overall build.

Why a 1080? I would recommend either a 1070 or a 1080Ti. The 1080 is too "neither here nor there".

If you are not doing SLI, get a B350 board instead. Cheaper.

Why a 1080? I would recommend either a 1070 or a 1080Ti. The 1080 is too "neither here nor there".

If you are not doing SLI, get a B350 board instead. Cheaper.

Because 1070 price is now still on the high side/out of stock. An example is asus sitrix 1070. The selling price now topup abit can get 1080 already

Hi Singupingu, these are great suggestions and i'll definitely look into them. May i ask why you would recommend the Asus Prime over the Gigabyte or MSI?

Least amount of complains, decent heatsink on vrm for effective thermal dissipation for OC stability, good ram support with corsair vengeance lpx and Gskill ripjaw V. Tried a few builds myself with this board and so far all are positive. Gigabyte have very bad support for AMD AM4 for some reason, MSI have bad ram support initially but they should be fine now.

Lol. I am not price king. I follow the SRP from PC Themes to let people know what they can expect from their budget, any cheaper is a bonus, any extra budget can be used for upgrades. Also, I recommend parts I myself find reliable through researches and experience from both myself and others.

Pricing wise, find Irenicus, Psycovirus, joshuaho or MoneyFace=P

They are the price kings you're finding hahaha
