Hi gurus, need some advice regarding my MSI R9280X gpu. Recently it has been hitting up to 85deg and this is my system running only warframe, no additional programs. My friend with the same GPU and running warframe + streaming videos on dual monitors only hits 66deg. My card is only 9months old. Here are the attached ss on the GPU.

Cleaned out any dust prior to doing this testing, not sure what else could be the issue here. Please advice if there is anything I could do or just send the card for RMA. Thanks in advance :)

The issue I find weird is that my idle temps used to be 34~ while full loads were around 70~. Now my idle sits at 55-59 while my full load is 75-85. This are not in line following benchmarks for msi twin frozr 280x. As stated, my friend with the exact same card is only running full load at 66deg. Am I missing out something, would appreciate it if any gurus are able to point it out.

Your temps are perfectly normal.

You cannot compare benchmarks from ang moh countries to sg. Their ambient temps are definitely cooler and their max temp load should be 7x deg depending on climate temps.

Things to ensure.

Ensure that your chassis able to regulate proper airflow. Things like blocked filter could be the culprit that causes no air to pass thru.

I remember my old msi r9 280x will hover around 50+ degrees after a game loaded. Found out that the fans are spinning at the lowest speed. Might wanna adjust the custom fan speed to further cool it down.

If really in doubt just send down to corbell to let them replace the thermal paste.
