Whatever it is, stay away from 3TB HDD. There is a reason why they are priced very aggressively too.

For me is either 2TB if on budget or 4TB if can spend more.

TS, i recently ordered the HGST 4TB Deskstar NAS from lazada during their 11/11 sale.
Sale price by convergent was $229

Used the hellopay $20 discount and also during that time got 6% shopback for electronics,
so final amt paid after shopback $196.46
can try waiting for lazada 12/12 sale, maybe will be on offer again.

I'm aware of this, but since the bb stats refers to one specific drive from one manufacturer (Seagate ST3000DM001), using that to say "Whatever it is, stay away from 3TB HDD" seems far fetched. That's why I thought FinalTidus might probably be referring to something else.

It's like just because there are high failure rates of Model ABC bluetooth keyboards from brand XYZ, doesn't make sense to stay away from all bluetooth keyboards?
