Hello guys, I am building a new desktop for general usage. Internet surfing, office, youtube and light gaming. Will the following build suffice? Budget is around $1k without keyboard, mouse and monitor. All prices taken from pctheme pricelist.

CPU+MOBO: I5-4460 Gigabyte B85M-D3H ~ $372
RAM: 2X4GB 1600mhz value ram ~ 100
SSD: Samsung EVO 120GB ~ $109
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB ~ $72
GPU: AMD 6950 (Its taken from another desktop)
PSU: Seasonic S12II 520w ~ $85
Case: Cooler Master N400 ~ $73
OS: Windows 7 64bit ~ $125

Total: ~$941

1. Is the mobo overkill? The ASROCK H81M-HDS is available for $60 less. However, is it reliable?
2. Regarding the ssd, whats the difference between the evo 120GB and crucial MX100 128GB. The pricing is about the same.
3. Case. Unsure about the case. Would something like the CM N200 suffice? Dont think this rig will be upgraded much in the future.
4. I need to get wifi for this rig. Whats the best solution? Have no idea totally regarding wireless lan.
5. Is the PSU sufficient for the whole rig?
6. Windows 7 vs 8
7. Does pcthemes assemble the rig for you? If not, where do i go to for assembly?

Thanks in advance for the help and advice!!

2.Samsung evo uses TLC nand whereas Crucial MX100 uses MLC nand. On top of that, Samsung evo has faster write speeds. Only consider MX100 from 256GB and above because the 128GB is much slower to write.

6. Can get windows 8 and get a free upgrade to 8.1

2. I am sticking with the samsung evo 120GB then
3. CM N200 is a micro atx case right? I am going for the Gigabyte MOBO, it will fit in this case?
4. Does either option provide the same speed and range? I am on optic fibre 200mbps if I remember correctly. Also, the modem/router is in another room.
6. Looks like I am going with windows 8.

Thanks for the replies guys

As long as ur mobo is a micro atx size it will fit in nicely

I believe the pci-e will give u a much higher and consistent speed, but I guess if u wan to get the best speed u have to go for direct plug in
