Hi guys. I am looking to upgrade my current 6 years old rig to something good enough to play recent games (AC3, Crysis 3, Bioshock Inf, etc) at high settings.

Here are the specs of my current rig. Any suggestions on what MB, CPU, RAM and SSD shld I change to? Do i also need to change the PSU and the case as well?

CPU+MB: Intel C2D E6750 + ASUS P5KSE
RAM: 2x 1Gb DDR2-800 Crucial Ballistix
GPU: Palit GTX 560 1Gb OC (Bought like a year ago, wont be changing this)
SSD: NONE
PSU: Enermax Noisetaker II 485W
CASE: Coolermaster 332

My budget is < $1000. Thanks!

Any more remaining warranty on the PSU? Change if over.

And i think you should change the chassis as well to breathe in new life to the PC and your home. =:p

And you might really want to consider upgrading your graphics card for better frame rates unless you don't intend to play with AA/AF on.

Are you porting over ALL of those existing HDDs?

And is your Samsung ODD using IDE interface? If so, you will need to change that too.

Thanks for the reply.

Yup PSU warranty over.

I will most likely be porting over all my HDD. Are there compatibility issues as well? D;

I am using an external DVDRW for my ODD, so i guess it should be fine?

Your GTX 560 is similar to GTX 650 Ti, while PowerColor HD 7870 PCS+ Myst is HD 7870 LE:

And you can get a new chassis like Cooler Master HAF 912 if you sells the GTX 560 away. :s12:
