Advice on upgrading desktop

Hi

I'm also looking for advice to upgrade my desktop. My current set up is as follows:

i5-4430
Nvidia GT440
Asus B85M - GAMER
Ram: 6GB - DDR3
Headway 500W PSU

Just want to know what I should upgrade to if I'm willing to spend about $3-400, Want to use it for casual gaming (Dota 2, Dishonoured 2 plus) without any issues, And of course be able to upgrade to Win 11.

Current magical budget you cannot upgrade.
You only need to upgrade GPU but GPU currently still overpriced.

now dropping in price, can get 1070ti for 400 or less if u haggle on carou.

And of course be able to upgrade to Win 11.

u can still install fresh win11 on ur drive and boot directly with ur current system. but if looking to continue using win10 for now and upgrade in the future this budget will be adequate but just barely, assuming u reuse the rest of ur parts. u will need to upgrade cpu, mobo and ram since minimum upgrade requirement is intel 8th gen/ryzen 2000 series or later, all of which are on different platform with ddr4. win10 is still perfectly good in 2022 though, dont see any need to move to 11 anytime soon.

1) Stuck to Windows 10
2) Upgrade the i5 to either i5 4690 or i7 4790
*You will need to update the BIOS if you have never do so in the past
before you can upgrade to these CPU as these are Haswell refresh CPUs.

4) Chang that PSU to either FSP PSU which are better than that Headway.
5) Upgrade the GT440 which is not a good gaming graphic card.
Either you can look for a GTX960/GTX970 but you must pair with a strong CPU
mention in 1st point.

Total upgrade should be around $400, the GTX960/GTX970 varies on seller.
GTX 960 can be brought around $150 while GTX970 is around $200+.

Btw used 960 and 970 fail rate is about 70% , rather u top up abit get a new 3050
