Let put this simple. SIT is pretty new as a university. Many people still does not know it exists. But it will be, in the future.

As there are a total of 6 local unis today. The competitiveness is there. Doesn't matter which university you go when you are finding a job. Since you signed on as a ME1 in RSAF, you may have thoughts of converting to ME4 after finishing your study. (Not sure about this, you may want to check with RSAF) - Also check on the relevancy whether your course is eligible for a certain vocation.

I suggest you to go through the curriculum, do a research and then decide which is best for you.

Heard from my poly classmates, their experience in SMU is pretty hell, struggling just to pass is difficult. Whereby SIT I have no idea what's the culture there.

I would want to convert to ME4 but since I sign on I don't know they will allow me to pause my bond to go study first before

Everywhere is hard, if not why it is called University? If you are aiming for greater height, no matter how hard it is. You will do your best to get it done. Yes, you heard from your friends that this course SMU is hard to pass. Just because of their comments, they already made the decision for you. Have you ask yourself what you want for yourself?

If you keep relying on people for success, follow instructions. You might as well stay at ME1 because a leader inspire and know how to a lead a team to success. I'm not saying you don't have that capabilities, let be frank. Who likes to follow someone who don't have directions?

You might want to check with your unit first. Converting from ME1 to ME4 is not a guarantee option. They need to assess your competency level, leadership, etc

SIT is trimester based, study times are very compact. Very little break, in between semesters, don't expect long summer vacation.
-Due to SIT being structured as a applied learning university, you will get many projects to do, so every week you will be busy on it.
-Their structured internships can last more than 8 mths and up to a year.
-Leadership & office positions in CCAs are very limited by policy, so expect many efforts to go unrecorded if you don't get elected.
-Free VAP courses through out the year, courses are similar to other universities' general education.
-Overheard from my friend, their culture is constant drilling you to practice.

As for SMU, I guess you have heard enough from your friends. :s12:
