Upgrade ram to 8gb. The main problem here is the graphics card. Get a minimum of a gtx 760 but recommended is the r9 290 now on offer at 490. U can get a ssd also if u got money to spare. Processor is very good liao

Yea that's one issue too.. Reckon I'll be looking at around 700-800 at least for this upgrade....
Correct me If I am wrong just did a search on google not very sure on this but I think I'd u change from 64bit from 32bit as long as same motherboard, u can use the same activation license.
As for the other parts
I am not sure your 4gb is 4gb x 1 stick or 2gbx2sticks. If its 4gb x 1 stick u only need get another 4gb stick. That's about 50 plus only. As for ssd get a 120gb one will do but that's optional. Approx price (120-130)
As for graphic card palit gtx 760 jetstream only 370 but more worth get the power color/sapphire r9 290 at 499

Mine is a 4gb single stick. I should be going for the r9 290 as I plan to upgrade 1 time swee swee rather than frequent updates. Lol.. Ok I know I have said this many a few times but really thanks for ur advise. Much appreciated.

If ur desktop is those pre built by hp or dell can forget about upgrade since the case might not fit in the long card like 290

ur processor is gold class stuff because it has hyperthreading
and u do realise that intel package their desktop cpu in such a way that only the top end stuff has hyperthreading.

keep it for as long as possible
