Hello everyone!

Basically, I need a recommendation on an upgrade for my current GPU, which is a Nvidia GTX 580.

I have been looking around the web and hearing recommendations from friends and have narrowed it down to the AMD R9 280x. Something about AMD Cards having better FPS per $... Not too sure about that though XD

Is there any other card that any of you want to recommend?

Also, on another topic, I am going to pass my GTX580 to my friend after I purchase the new GPU. Thing is, he is using a GTS 285 right now. I am afraid that the MoBo may not support the GTX580. I will update which MoBo he is using soon.

Thanks in advance! :D
