Hi everyone, I am looking for a aftermarket cooler for my r9 290 gpu. Am currently looking to get Accelero Xtreme Plus III/IV but i have a few questions

1) Where can I purchase this in SG?
2) Is there any place in SG which helps change the gpu's stock cooler to an aftermarket cooler? (i could go learn from vids in youtube but wouldn't mind paying if there's an expert who could do it)
3) What is the difference in watts usage if i upgrade to the aftermarket cooler?
4) What other aftermarket coolers should i consider? (water cooling instead? NZXT Kraken G10 etc)

Before you proceed.

Few things you need to know:

1. If the GPU has a warranty sticker on one of the screws. Once open your warranty will be voided.

2. If you are looking to reduce the overall temps of the card, then i would suggest, don't really bother much, cause i have a friend whom strap on the accelero and it just have minor improvements around 79deg max. Not unless you are on Stock AMD blower then may be.

3. Do not go for the G10 Kraken unless you wanna be like our dear forumer whom have a burnt VRM. This Kraken can only be used with a certain GPU like Powercolor r9 290 PCS+ which by default has a VRM heatsink by itself. Which can be used together with the G10 in order to cool it.

4. Accelero is not sold in SG. You got to bring in yourself. May be able to find it in the garage sales.

5. Difference in wattage? No difference.

Yes that will be the ref card design aka stock amd cooler.

Well just keep and use it.

Its design to go up to 94deg. If you want to cool down a bit, you can turn up to cooler a notch higher.

I'm fine with it except that it's pretty loud. Guess I'll give further thought to whether I really need an aftermarket cooler. Thanks!
