5080 can't even get 50 fps in Alan Wake 2 1440p Max PT, coz 4090 > 5080! 🤦‍♀️

a boring walking only game that has no reason to be demanding

That’s because Alan Wake 2 is such a poorly optimised game.
Same with Cyberpunk - cannot get 60fps! Neither of these two games are unoptimized after several patches and updates. Just graphically demanding. If you run them on potato PCs, of course they'll feel unoptimized.

If you're getting their Ready to Ship, take note the mobo they use the gigabyte b650m "gaming" is a piece of crap that will overheat and has only 2 ram slots and 1 m.2 slot.

It's a shame otherwise the price is good for a full 5080 build...

Wonder if our system-integrators' builds are just as bad as some of these ..........

That's the thing when going with a builder PC company, they all use this as a good opportunity to clear off their junk. 😅

Nobody wants junk, that's why the builder companies can purchase them in high quantities, making them cheap.

Some would justify that if they build it with those part its more expensive without actually thinking that no actual DIYer even wants to builds a PC with those parts.

lifelong means future proof?

If yes, in my opinion, There is no future proof for IT products.
I have been using PC since the AT i386DX till now. How long will u change ur PC after u purchase a new one? 3yrs? 5yrs? or 10yrs?
By that time, technology advance till that u will nid to change the whole system again. Maybe AM6 CPU will come out which AM5 mainboard won't able to support. DDR6 or maybe DDR7 RAM will release out too.

So just go for the one that suit ur needs as for now. IT is always never ending.

If you ask my honest opinion is no.
Aftershock usually cheap out a lot of the parts, motherboard, PSU, SSD etc.
What you paying is for the RTX 5000 which is very enticing.
But after you buy than you be disappointed with performance issues and stability issues.
Go Sim Lim may have better specs but definitely more expensive.
Like most pointed that they use a entry level motherboard which you will not get the full performance from the system.
PSU should be also subpar from what I seen so far.
