Air France Boeing 787 flight AF736 has declared an emergency, returning to Paris​


A flight to Kinshasa has declared an emergency and returned to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.​

Air France flight AF736 departed Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to Kinshasa, DRC.

The Boeing 787-9 (registration F-HRBE) was cruising at 35,000 feet when the crew turned around over Spain.

The flight descended to 34,000 feet while returning to Paris CDG Airport due to a technical issue.

The pilots declared an emergency (squawk 7700) when the flight started the approach to Paris to require direct flight path and priority landing.

The Dreamliner landed on runway 08L back at Paris almost 3 hours after deparure.

Air France technical team is inspecting the airplane before scheduling a new departure time
