Anyone here booked apartment stays from Airbnb in Taipei before?
How was your experience?
I browsed through and found some decent and nice private apartments in Taipei for around 100 sgd per night. Definitely cheaper than booking hotels.

Some tell me that booking through Airbnb can be risky.

I booked 4 times with Airbnb during my stay in taipei. So far so good.

If you are worry, just choose those room with more reviews. You should be fine. If you want to get airbnb coupon to offset your booking fee, pm me.:D

the airbnb competition is very fierce in Taiwan. a lot are instant books.
Theres many people who have a lot of rooms and rent on commercial basis too,,
a lot of flats are en-suites or hotel style, meaning no kitchen.
Just room and toilet. a lot are on those old buildings too :o
they are quite strict on check in/out timings though. So if you arrive early or have a late outgoing flight, better consider this issue

that said, generally quite safe and clean.
You should expect to pay no more than $50 for a room for 2 (1 King size bed) per night, NETT.
look for those discount codes from DBS etc.

As I will be staying in Taipei for 7 nights. Not sure if its advisable to book from Airbnb. I've seen some hosts cancel the booking at the last minute or only a few days before the guest arrive. I'm only worried that this kind of situation will happen.

I'm sure even if host cancel it, u can easily book a similarly priced one at a nearby location easily. its so competitive.

so many are commercial operators so its quite unlikely they will cancel it because their friends come/ they go overseas etc
