for 2 pax, is it better to take the train or taxi?
that's for arrival.

If you are staying near bts, can consider taking train.
however note that train sometimes hard to get a seat.
price is about 45b to rajpraprop station (near pratunam)

if you intend to take airport train then change taxi to your hotel, sometimes taxi that dun go by meter might charge you 200b ... have tried few times in the past . hence, give up and rather take grab or taxi from the airport to hotel 350 to 450b from airport to hotel in sukhuvmit, pratunam, sathorn, riverside.
no need walk so much, queue up for train, no seats on train, carry luggage up down ...

to my last understanding, the airport taxi are quite standard and rigged.
mean you be paying at least 350 + tolls, depending on the destination.

definitely taxi is more convenience

you can book grab from ur app , meet up at departure hall ...
few times staying sathorn and riverside area , further than pratunam ...
at least 50min to an hour to reach, grab was 450b, if by meter taxi, surely over 450b
somemore can use discount code for grab ...

nice, personally i only had 1 bad experience with grab while in BKK.

From BIG C to soi 19 (the famous wanton mee street), it cost me 250baht...

I just came back and had done van transfer for 9 pax between airport and platinum area.

Before 7 pm rate is 1000. After is 1300. One way. Not exactly cheap but hell. It is convenient especially for gg back airport.

For family I think quite ok but friends then can split taxi maybe cheaper.
