hi all i have an alienware x51 probably 2 years old bought at it show.

Nowadays i keep having pink screen of death, or sometimes the graphics hangs n successfully restart. Is it cause the gtx 555 dying already? i opened n checked inside which is quite compact, doesn't have much dust.

Any bros can recommend a graphic card to upgrade to to replace it n fit in nicely considering the size?

sometimes it hangs, restarts fan blows, cpu off n on n off repeats but no screen

And sometimes it hangs restart n beeps repeatedly. beep. beep. beep. beep.

didn't know dell so cui. -.-. Already changed 1 time cpu from dell few months after buying from progamer at it show.

2 things you need to check before:
1. Check physical length of graphics card your casing can accommodate
2. The power supply rating to support new graphics card.

I own the same computer. I had a terrible experience with it. Almost all parts from the mobo to the GPU had been changed. Mine had been serviced more than 5 times.

The 555 is a very buggy card which has huge issues. The pink screen can be solved by updating the nvidia drivers but even after i did that the system was still very unstable.

If you still have warranty with dell, request that they change the GPU to a 660.

If not, you should go read the alienware forums where other owners have changed their GPU and see what GPUs they use.

By right cannot. But the 555 is such a flawed card. Chains to a 660 fixed quite a lot of my problems. System is still quite unstable for me. It shuts down by itself quite frequently.
