Hey Bro and Sis

I am intending to fly Taiwan from 5th - 10 April. Been to Taiwan a few times and would like to cover the scenic route this time around.

I realised there are a lack of information on Alishan and Yushan (or rather in English information). Would anyone happen to have information on the two areas?

Or any other scenic areas that I should visit? Thanks in advance :)

Alishan, go from chiayi train station. There is a terminal just outside that you can get a bus oreven a taxi ride up. Yushan not been there. But think you will need a permit to climb. Unlessyoujust want to touch n go type or just visit the tourist centre?

Alishan like what calkel mention can take cab/book driver/bus up from Chiayi TRA Station..

The bus up to the main area is gonna take about 2hrs..

But take note if wan a good non rushing pace to explore the place fully..You need at least 2D1N..And some places u would need a driver to bring u over..Day trip is not recommended..

I just came back from my Taiwan trip which i spend 3D2N at Alishan..At night, there's nth much to do..So u can put my trip as 2D..

If you are thinking of climbing Yushan, you may want to check if Paiyun Lodge is still under renovation. If it is still closed, I think most people will advise against climbing Yushan as a day trip unless you are really experienced and fit.
