U can try borrowing 1 stick of ddr3 from a fren to test? Might be all 3 rams gt issue but thats a low chance. If not, bring down to PC Care & Solutions at SLSl lvl 2 for a check bah.


Or you can try changing the CMOS CR2302 battery to see if it works?

why buy second hand when you can get new ryzen build for $500.

Thats the risk of buying second hand without warranty. if u think motherboard issue buy a replacement at lazada. if spoilt can return

Bought a second hand ASUS H97 Plus mobo + CPU off someone here at the forums, assembled it and worked fine for the first few days.

Now when I turn on the PC, end up with 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. Apparently none of my RAM are being detected, and I have 3 sticks of DDR3 RAM. Reseating the RAM does nothing.

This is stressing the **** out of me, ****ing regret buying that mobo.

Oh yeah ignore the specs on the right, that's the other one.

Anyway specs for the fked up one.
ASUS H97 Plus
i5-4460
3 x 4GB DDR3 1600
Thermaltake Smart SE 530W
GTX 660
SSD + HDD

So what should I do next? Is it a mobo or processor problem?

That's the risks of buying 2nd hand mobo...

Yeah I tried just about every combination. 1 RAM at a time in 1 slot.

It's weird that no RAM is being detected at all.

Did you try resetting Bios as well?

Considering the model you mentioned, it's likely out of warranty. One thing I tend to avoid buying second hand is motherboard, unless you can established that the seller is trustworthy. If it doesn't work, then I do recommend getting a new system rather than trying to pay someone to troubleshoot it. Its not worth the cost.

1 long 2 short is video card problem. continuous beep is ram problem.

It is unlikely that all RAM or RAM slots fail at the same time.

Probably CPU or MB memory controller failure. The error code is unidentifiable memory (check manual to confirm).

Another possibility is a bent pin in the CPU socket. However, since it worked initially, probably not the cause. Won't hurt to check, though.
