Does any1 have any idea if there is metered taxi at phuket?
Our group consist of 4adult and 1 19month old baby.

What day trip will be suitable for us to travel with the baby?

went there, we used non metered taxi as we stay in a resort quite far from Patong area.
The taxi normally set a fix rate to where u going, and they can wait for return, as their business is not that good anyway.

For our case, we stayed quite near to airport (abt 10 mins), and it takes us 30-40 mins to Patong. can't really recall what's the price.

recommend to rent a car better

if rent car, please rent from airport, return car also at airport. save the $ for airport transfer to hotel.

After all these years, new hotels sprouted out in Patong but I still feel Patong Princess Hotel still takes the thropy for being the best value in Phuket. Definately recommended to anyone on a lower budget yet don't want to compromise on a nice stay.
